Nicole Kwon Expands With Boutique In NorthPark Center

Dallas-based and South Korean-born designer, Nicole Kwon has expanded her retail empire to NorthPark Center.

Kwon recently celebrated the soft opening of the second location, following her flagship location in Dallas’ West Village. Her NorthPark store is on the second level between Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom across from Eataly.

Customers can expect the NorthPark location to have the same urban and modern ambiance as her store in the West Village.  The store covers almost 2,000 square feet and will carry many items exclusive to this location.

“I decided to expand to NorthPark Center because the space is so uplifting and special to me,” said Kwon. “When you are at NorthPark you feel like you are inside a gallery surrounded by all the beautiful artwork, and you forget you are at a mall. Additionally, I love that NorthPark’s shoppers are very diverse and cultured.”

Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Nicole Kwon moved to London to attend university at London College of Fashion to study fashion design. In London, Kwon worked under the Vivian Westwood and Hussein Chalayan brands. Kwon then moved to New York where she worked at different fashion houses, eventually founding her first ready-to-wear line in 2008, and in 2011, Kwon moved to Dallas to open her first store.

In addition to carrying a variety of different designers in her store, Kwon carries her namesake line, NKC, which was launched in the summer of 2021 in addition to her luxury vegan handbag line, KWONN which was launched in 2019.

“I get fulfilled when I see my customers feeling confident and special in my clothes,” said Kwon. “That feeling keeps me doing what I’m doing and inspires me to create more special and unique pieces. My goal is to keep moving forward as long as I can and expand to other cities like New York.”
