Highland Park is still winless at home this season, after Midlothian rallied from a two-set deficit to upset the Lady Scots on Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers won 25-23 in the fourth set and 16-14 in the deciding fifth set in one of HP’s final tests prior to the start of District 11-5A play in early September.
However, the Lady Scots were more successful at the prestigious Lone Star Circle of Champions tournament over the weekend in Plano. HP won its pool — with victories over Sachse, Willis, and McGill-Toolen (Ala.) — and finished fifth overall in the gold bracket.
Next up, the Lady Scots will wrap up nondistrict play with road matches against Bishop Lynch on Friday and Plano on Sept. 4.
