Simon David Ends Foodfest
Some may claim Simon David lost its special-ness years ago. Still the name was there and so was the two-story building at Inwood and University.
No more. A bigger, more “glorious” Tom Thumb ala Safeway is slated to take its place.
Alas, I met my first jar of caviar there decades ago.
I swear I read about this months ago.
Apparently there was major bargain-hunting pandemonium there this afternoon–everything in the store was 50% off. And they would still take coupons on top of that!
