Jesuit Grad Becomes Adamson Baseball Coach
Jesuit graduate Matt Putman has landed his first head coaching job at Adamson High School in Dallas, where he will lead the baseball program.
Putman, who played for the Rangers before graduating in 2001, has spent the past several years as an assistant baseball coach at Wylie, Pflugerville Hendrickson, and Round Rock Westwood.
He takes over a program that is in decent shape. The Leopards won two straight district titles under interim coach Brandon Kendricks, who will remain at Adamson as an assistant, and even won a playoff game in 2014 before falling to Highland Park in the area round.
