Highland Park Town Hall (Functions) to Move July 7

We’re HP heavy today, but UP residents, your day is always just around the corner.

According to a letter Highland Park residents will get this week about the move of the town’s administrative functions to a temporary location, officials will pack their bags and bounce to 4300 MacArthur Avenue on July 7.

From Mayor Joel Williams:

If you need Town services on Friday, July 6, 2012 please visit Town Hall at 4700 Drexel or 4300 MacArthur Avenue beginning Monday, July 9, 2012.  We apologize for any service disruption you may experience during the move.

Starting this mid-July, Town Council, Zoning Commission, and Board of Adjustment and Planning and Review Board meetings will be conducted at the temporary offices.  The telephone numbers for Town employees and the mailing address for Town correspondence will remain the same.

The town was originally supposed to move to a location near Love Field, but, according to town administrator Bill Lindley, “we never could come to terms with the leasing document and were able to negotiate with the other tenant.”

Construction on the project is expected to begin in November, Lindley said yesterday.
