Football Time in Texas
Well, sort of.
The Highland Park Scots will hold their annual Blue/Gold spring football games at Highlander Stadium tonight. The junior varsity game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity at 7 p.m.
The games signify the end of spring practice. Tonight’s varsity game should be pretty entertaining considering the Scots have several starters returning from last year’s 12-1 team. Typically, Highland Park only has one or two starters back.
When practice resumes in August, the Scots will scrimmage Plano West at home on Aug. 19. Highland Park will then open the regular season on Aug. 27 against Everman in the Tom Landry Classic at SMU.
