Rise and Shine, Park Cities (3-8-2011)
1. Fat Tuesday is upon us. I’ll be celebrating by eating Chick-Fil-A sauce with a spoon.
Businesses, any specials today? Spill ’em in the comments.
2. HPISD Board of Trustees meeting tonight. Among many, many things, the board is slated to take on the 2011-2012 budget (rough), waivers for the snow days (easy, presumably), and gifts from the Armstrong PTA and Armstrong-Bradfield Preschool Association (fun!).
I’ll have a fun rundown of the budget implication’s in Friday’s Park Cities People.
3. Highland Park residents, beware. To prep town hall for its expected renovations, some traffic changes are upcoming. Check them out, via HP Crime Watch:
In order to make the necessary improvements, St. Johns Drive will be closed starting Monday March 14th thru Friday March 18th from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. After 6 p.m. until 7 a..m, only the northbound lane of traffic will be open for thru traffic. There will be no parking on the east side of St. Johns from Euclid up to 4708 St. Johns. The southbound lane of traffic will be closed throughout the entire week.
You’ve been warned.
