Skulduggery of the week: Shady Shoppers
Between 5:20 and 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, a shoplifter stole a $460 pair of sunglasses from Tom Ford at Highland Park Village. The thief was a man with two nervous girls as his accomplices, who was examining merchandise with a store employee before walking out.

20 TUESDAY
Between 3:05 and 3:15 p.m., a thief stole the tailgate from a black 2008 Ford F-250 pickup at Whole Foods Market in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.
21 WEDNESDAY
Between 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 4:43 a.m. on Oct. 21, a thief stole the third-row seat from an unlocked white 2010 Cadillac Escalade in the 4400 block of Livingston Avenue.
At 4:05 p.m., a resident of the 4500 block of Abbott Avenue reported the theft of a $600 Hotrock bicycle from Armstrong Elementary School sometime between Oct. 9 and Oct. 13.

Between 3:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., a thief stole the driver’s side mirror from a white 2013 GMC Yukon in the 4600 block of Livingston Avenue.
At 3:12 p.m., a burglar broke into a gray 2015 Honda Pilot in the 3500 block of Cornell Avenue and stole a Balenciaga purse containing a Marc Jacobs wallet, a Neiman Marcus clutch, and $200 in cash. A witness said the perpetrator fled in a red Acura.

At 7:47 p.m., Anthony Joseph Colangelo, 38, of Highland Park was arrested in the 5400 block of Fairfield Avenue on a public intoxication charge.
25 SUNDAY
At 3:42 a.m., David Marshall Harris, 39, of College Station was arrested in the 3200 block of Mockingbird Lane on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated.
Between 10 p.m. on Oct. 24 and 9 a.m. on Oct. 25, a burglar broke into a black 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 4600 block of Edmondson Avenue and stole the third-row seat, a set of Titleist and Ping golf clubs and bag, and the driver’s side mirror.

Between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., a burglar broke into a tan 2008 Chevrolet Suburban in the 4400 block of University Boulevardand stole the third-row seat, $50 worth of
Under Armour clothing, and a Sony television. Also overnight, a burglar took the third-row seat from a black 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 4400 block of Windsor Parkway.
Between 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 7 a.m. on Oct. 20, a burglar broke into a white 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 4100 block of Hyer Avenue and stole the third-row seat, $700 worth of tennis equipment, and $40 worth of iPhone accessories. During the same time frame, a burglar broke into a black 2011 GMC Yukon in the 4100 block of Grassmere Lane and stole the third-row seat and a $400 iPhone.
Between 9:50 and 9:59 a.m., a burglar broke into a white 2007 Nissan Xterra in the 6900 block of Preston Road and stole a briefcase containing $3,000 in cash and a $1,000 Toshiba laptop computer.
Between 8 a.m. and 3:15 p.m., a thief stole a $467 Trek boys bicycle at Highland Park Middle School.

At 9:01 a.m., a former resident of the 3300 block of Marquette Street reported the theft of two televisions and a washer and dryer from a vacant house sometime between Oct. 14 and Oct. 20.
22 THURSDAY
At 1:31 a.m., Isaiah Miles, 19, of Dallas was arrested on a drug possession charge following a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Hanover Street. Zulma Yamileth Carcamo, 18, of Dallas was arrested on a marijuana possession charge.
25 SUNDAY
At 4:08 a.m., John Colby Kean, 18, of Lloyd Harbor, N.Y., was arrested in the 3400 block of Asbury Avenue on charges of public intoxication and marijuana possession.
