Hot Wheels: HP Cyclists Second in State
The Highland Park cycling team claimed a runner-up spot in the team standings at the recent Lonestar Finale race near Austin.
Nikolas Milanovic won the individual state title for the Scots, as well as the overall season championship. In total, 15 HP cyclists competed against more than 720 athletes from across the state.
Other top finishers for the Scots, both at state and for the season, include Eli Young, Andrew Brinkman, and Luke Haglund. Truitt Young, a sixth grader at McCulloch Intermediate School, was second for the season in his division.
