Preston Royal Village Hosts Sip and See Event
While it will be much longer before some shops at the intersection of Preston and Royal are open after the Oct. 20 tornado, the stores and restaurants at Preston Royal Village are almost all up and running — and they’re celebrating with a “Holiday Sip & Shop” event on Thursday, Dec. 12.
The shopping center, which occupies the two north corners of the intersection, saw a few extended closures as stores and shops recovered from the tornado and waited for power to be restored. However, those closures happened right as most tenants were gearing up for the holiday shopping season.
“This is a great moment for you and your community to connect with old friends, create new memories, and discover gifts for the people in your life,” said Claire Wei, spokesperson for shopping center owner Edens. “Each retailer will have light bites and drinks; there will be live music by local band Tu-Tones.”
Nearly every shop and restaurant in Preston Royal Village has reopened, with the exceptions of Toy Maven – which moved to temporary digs at Preston and Forest – and Cantina Laredo, who said Tuesday evening that while they didn’t have a definite date for reopening yet, “We are working diligently to re-open as soon as possible.”
