Residents Urged to Call 311 During Planned Website, App Outage

Have a traffic signal out? Need to know why your bulk trash wasn’t picked up? Don’t open an app or head to your computer to report it this weekend — the city of Dallas announced that an upgrade to those systems will temporarily mean residents will need to reach city services the old fashioned way — by dialing 311.

The OurDallas mobile app and 311 website will be offline for a planned system upgrade from 10 a.m.Sunday, Dec. 8 to midnight Monday, Dec. 9.

Once installed, the new system will provide Code Compliance with a comprehensive case management system, allowing Code Compliance to respond more efficiently, the city said. The new system will give residents more details on their service requests, will better track inspections, manage liens related to nuisance abatements, and also use city resources better.

This planned outage will impact Salesforce CRM, the OurDallas mobile app and 311 website.

“The 311 Call Center will be operational during this time so residents should call 311 to submit a service request,” the city said in a press release. “Alerts will be placed on the OurDallas mobile app and city’s service request website notifying users of the scheduled outages. Access is expected to be restored after all required system testing is complete.”
