Former Borders Will Become LA Fitness

Last February, Brad told you the former Borders on McKinney will become a Max’s Wine Dive. (I’m really excited about that. Fried chicken and champagne? Yes please.)

Today I found out the other Borders on Lovers Lane and Greenville Avenue will become an LA Fitness. The sports club signed a long-term lease to build a 45,000-square-foot facility, which will be a new prototype club, and is expected to open at the end of the year.

Given the new option, which gym do you prefer? I’m an equinox fan myself, but am considering a switch to the Y. Or if the price is right, the new LA Fitness.

I take it you haven’t recently made the drive from, say, Mockingbird and Hillcrest to Preston and Forest. A brutal 25 minute idiot-filled slog.
