Highland Park Diver, Swimmers Earn All-American

Highland Park's (top row, from left) Lindsey Streepey and Ann-Claire Karalyos, and (front row) Kate Boyer, Annelyse Tullier, and Lauren Murski earned All-American status from the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association.

Five members of the Highland Park girls swimming and diving team have been named All-Americans by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association. Swimmers Kate Boyer, Ann-Claire Karalyos, Lauren Murski, and Annelyse Tullier, along with diver Lindsey Streepey, earned the honors after helping the Blue Wave win its 11th state title in the last 12 years in February.

To be named All-American, swimmers, divers, and relay teams must post a time or score in the top 100 in the nation.

Streepey, who will dive for Notre Dame beginning this coming school year, was named an All-American for the third time after winning a silver medal at state. The four swimmers earned their All-American status as part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team, which set a new state record.
