Preston Hollow Residents Open Their Own Samurai Armor Museum. And Naturally, it’s Awesome.

PH couple Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller’s collection of samurai art and armor is substantial enough to earn rave reviews, as well as space at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and other facilities around the world.

Now, thanks to the family’s new offering on Harwood Street, a rotating selection will always be in Dallas.

I visited the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum during a media event last week, and have to say I was pretty stunned. I’ll be back, boyfriend in tow, and hope we’ll be around for one of the eventual movie screenings in the attached reading room.

Date suggestion: Go to St. Ann Restaurant & Bar while you’re there, as it shares the same building. The museum itself is free.
