Both the Highland Park baseball and softball teams will look to get back in the win column in District 10-4A play tonight at North Forney. Softball plays at 7 p.m., while first pitch for baseball is 7:30.

The Scots (5-11, 0-1) have lost three straight games and five of their last six. Scoring runs has been the main issue for Highland Park. The Scots have only scored more than three runs one time in their last six games. After tonight’s game, Highland Park will play a non-district game against former district foe Rockwall at 2 p.m. Thursday and another district game at Mesquite Poteet at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Meanwhile, the Lady Scots (6-8-1, 1-2) have lost two straight games and eight of their last 10. Most recently, Highland Park fell to Poteet, 9-4, on Saturday. Forney handed the Lady Scots a 16-0 loss last Friday. After tonight’s game, Highland Park will have the rest of the week off for spring break. The Lady Scots will return to action next Tuesday with a home game against West Mesquite.
