Cassie Payne & Jonathan Webb
Catherine “Cassie” Payne and Jonathan Webb exchanged wedding vows Jan. 28 at Park Cities Presbyterian Church. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Joseph Ryan. A reception followed at Brook Hollow Golf Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blaine Payne Jr. of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Blaine Payne and the late Mr. Robert Blaine Payne of Dallas and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Leo McMahon Jr. of Wichita Falls, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hogan Webb of Midland, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James David Webb and the late Irene Patricia Webb, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Earl Bray, all of Midland, Texas.
The bride wore her motherÕs gown of Candlelight re-embroidered Alencon lace appliqud on ivory point dÕespirit. The skirt was enhanced with an overlay of scalloped lace sweeping into a wide, chapel-length train. Her heirloom Belgian lace veil was also worn by her great-great-grandmother at her wedding in 1897. She carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Her father walked her down the aisle. Attending as matron of honor was Hayley Picchini and Rebecca Madole was maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Elizabeth Cooksey, Jennifer Hankinson, Kelly Nall, Lauren Payne, and Paige Redwine. Members of the house party included Elaine Bell, Amy Dees, and Joan Gossett. Allison Cooksey, the groomÕs niece, was the flower girl.
Serving the groom as best man was his brother, Andrew Webb. Groomsmen included Chad Cooksey, David Dunn, Zachary Frisbie, John Payne, Houston Slatton, and Bennett Walton. Taylor Batey, Christopher Canada, Timothy Dees, Jason McDaniel, and Bradley Newton were ushers.
The bride is a graduate of Highland Park High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and child development from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Science in teaching from Pace University, and a Master of Science in animal science from Texas A & M University. She is the founder of the Food, Think! Forum. She is a guest lecturer for the Texas Beef Council, a freelancer for Progressive Cattleman magazine, and a project consultant for JASE Minerals of Midland.
The groom is a graduate of Midland High School, where he was class Valedictorian and an All-State tennis player. He received a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University. He is the founder of two orthopedic design companies, Dean & Webb LLC and Capstone Design.
Following their wedding trip to the British Virgin Islands, the couple have made their home in Austin, Texas.
