Blue Wave Races Past Pearce in Dual
Alicia Bi was one of several Highland Park swimmers to earn multiple medals during a dual meet against Richardson Pearce.
Highland Park started its dual-meet schedule in style by defeating Richardson Pearce, with the boys winning all but one event.
Individual events champions for the Blue Wave boys included Max Van Cauwelaert (200 freestyle, 100 backstroke), Ethan Nguyen (100 freestyle, 200 individual medley), Peter Paulus (100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke), and Henry Wang (50 freestyle, 500 freestyle). HP also won the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
On the girls side, the Blue Wave got individual event titles from Hannah Jiang (100 breaststroke, 200 individual medley), Katherine Huang (50 freestyle), Lindsey Hosch (200 freestyle), and Maddy Helton (500 freestyle). The HP girls also claimed the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay.
