Reported at 4:47 p.m. on April 11: A customer left Vintage Car Wash on Preston Road high and dry when they drove off without paying for their wash.

7 Monday

Reported at 11:06 a.m.: A prisoner pick-up on University Boulevard.

8 Tuesday

A two-wheeler thief stole a multicolor 24-inch Jett Specialized bicycle on Normandy Avenue at about 3:14 a.m.

A brazen burglar stole from a property in the 2800 block of Westminster Avenue before 10:55 a.m.

Reported at 12:08 p.m.: A prisoner pick-up on University Boulevard.

A cold hearted crook stole a natural gas pool heater on Colgate Avenue at about 3:43 p.m.

A sneaky thief stole a locked 2017 GMC Sierra containing house keys and an HP laptop at about 6:31 p.m. in The Plaza at Preston Center.

9 Wednesday

A criminal cruiser stole a 2022 GMC Sierra from a home on Southwestern Boulevard at about 6:58 a.m.

Yet another GMC Sierra, this one a 2023 model, was taken from the 4000 block of Southwestern Boulevard at about 8:39 a.m.

Reported at 5:47 p.m.: A burglar stole a Dell laptop and Glock 43X firearm from a Chevy in The Plaza at Preston Center.

11 Friday

A thief lumbered away with construction equipment at about 7:16 a.m. from a worksite in the 7200 block of Durham Street.

Officers responded to a suspicious person who walked onto school property on Lovers Lane at about 12:16 p.m., and arrested a 36-year-old man on multiple warrants.

A thief stole a 2018 Chrysler Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 3000 block of Mockingbird Lane at about 3:21 p.m.

12 Saturday

A thief stole a 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor on Stanford Avenue at about 6:13 a.m.

A thief in the night stole a 2021 Volvo XC90 on Colgate Avenue before 9:10 a.m.

Officers responded to a noise complaint at about 11:03 p.m., and cited a 17-year-old boy and at least one 18-year-old girl for illegally possessing alcohol on Glenwick Lane.

13 Sunday

Officers made a traffic stop on Armstrong Parkway at about 11:41 p.m., and arrested a 23-year-old man for driving while intoxicated.

HIGHLAND PARK

7 Monday

A 30-year-old man was arrested for fraudulent use of identifying information at about 5:09 a.m. in the 5000 block of Holland Avenue.

Reported at 8:07 a.m.: A tree in the 3100 block of St Johns Drive was injured after a box truck struck one of its limbs.

Reported at 9:37 a.m.: A sneaky thief stuffed a CELINE Paris in cotton jersey t-shirt valued at $670 up the front of his hoodie before walking out of CELINE in Highland Park Village on April 6.

A backyard bandit stole a Cannondale bicycle from a home in the 4500 block of South Versailles Avenue at about 2:37 p.m. The thief had been attempting to steal two bikes, but dropped one and left after being confronted by the homeowner.

9 Wednesday

A tree in the 5300 block of Douglas Avenue lost a branch before 7:50 a.m. after it was struck by an 18-wheeler.

A 30-year-old woman was arrested in the 5000 block of Airline Road for an undisclosed reason at about 9:11 a.m.

A 19-year-old woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance near the intersection of West Mockingbird Lane and Bordeaux Avenue at about 3:02 p.m.

A license plate looter stole the front plate of a vehicle in the 4500 block of Abbott Avenue before 5 p.m.

A reckless roadster took off at about 6:05 p.m. after denting a 2011 Ford F-450 in the 5500 block of Golf Drive.

12 Saturday

A 32-year-old man was arrested at 12:47 p.m. in the 3400 block of Mockingbird Lane.

A 33-year-old man was arrested for an expired motor vehicle registration and on multiple warrants at about 6:31 p.m. in Highland Park Village.
