SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: RECOVERED U-HAUL
Police found a stolen U-Haul at about 9:15 p.m. parked along the curb in the 5500 block of Waneta Drive July 31. Following a quick license plate check, the vehicle was discovered to have been stolen out of Addison and was towed to the city impound.
25 Monday
A shoplifter stole from a retail store in NorthPark Center before 2:53 p.m.
A woman was scammed out of $15,000 before 6:58 p.m. in the 6600 block of Northaven Road.
A thief stole from Preston Royal Village at an undisclosed time.
26 Tuesday
Someone brought narcotics to NorthPark Center before 11:21 a.m.
A man at NorthPark Center was threatened over the phone before 2:24 p.m.
A thief stole a woman’s license plate before 2:46 p.m. in the 4400 block of Sexton Lane.
Before 3:10 p.m., a man was assaulted in a home in the 6400 block of Joyce Way.
A burglar entered a woman’s vehicle and stole stuff before 4:54 p.m. outside of J’s Tailor & Cleaners at Sherry on Sherry Lane.
A thief hooked up someone’s trailer and took off without consent before 6:03 p.m. in the 4400 block of Taos Road.
A NorthPark Center thief stole from a woman in a department store at an undisclosed time.
27 Wednesday
A burglar broke a woman’s car window and stole her makeup bag before 9:06 a.m. at Preston Forest Square.
Before 10:29 a.m., a jerk used vulgar language and threatened to “pistol whip” a woman over cyberspace in Preston Royal.
Police responded to an abandoned vehicle in the 6600 block of Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway at 12:20 p.m.
A shoplifter pinched merchandise at NorthPark Center before 4:45 p.m.

An aggressor pointed a black handgun at a woman and threatened to shoot her at a home in the 4900 block of Briarwood Place before 9:12 a.m.
Someone got a criminal trespass for soliciting Nike at NorthPark Center before 10:04 a.m.
A thief stole from Inwood Village at an undisclosed time.

Police responded to someone suspiciously looking into parked cars before 10:33 a.m. in the parking lot of Preston Forest Square.
An vandal damaged a vehicle before 1:19 p.m. in the 5200 block of Stonegate Road.
Before 3:57 p.m., a shoplifter entered a store and took property without permission at NorthPark Center.
Some people were issued a criminal trespass citations at NorthPark Center before 4:27 p.m.
Someone stole stuff from NorthPark Center at an undisclosed time.

A driver was caught driving recklessly then fled the scene in the 4200 block of Royal Lane before 1:58 a.m.
Before 4:03 a.m., someone broke the window, stole the ATM, and damaged a trash can of the 7-Eleven in the 10800 block of Preston Road.
A drunk driver was busted before 7:36 a.m. in the 4400 block of W. Northwest Highway.
Someone entered a woman’s vehicle and stole stuff at Inwood Village before 4:59 p.m.
An unknown burglar entered a woman’s car and removed property before 11:42 p.m. outside of Flying Fish on Luther Lane.
Before 5:05 p.m., a woman’s vehicle was stolen from NorthPark Center. Eleven minutes later, another woman’s vehicle was stolen from the same parking lot.

Before 8:43 p.m., a man’s truck was stolen from the NorthPark Center parking lot.
