Galleria Dallas to Host Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Candidates

Galleria Dallas will host Miss America’s Outstanding Teen candidates Aug. 8.

The 51 candidates will be in town for the Miss America’s 2023 Outstanding Teen competition, which will be held Aug. 10-12 in Dallas.

These young women, who will be competing for thousands of dollars in college scholarships, will kick off their week at Galleria Dallas with an 8 a.m. breakfast at Nordstrom Marketplace Café before taking to the ice at Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center at 10 a.m. These activities are meant to give the teens time to get to know one another and bond before the three days of competition.

The candidates will gather at 11 a.m. on Level 1 of the center in front of the Back to School Wall for a meet-and-greet session during which they’ll sign autographs. Miss America 2022 Emma Broyles and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2022 Marcelle Leblanc will also appear at the meet and greet and sign autographs. 

“The Miss America Organization is excited to visit the premier destination of the Galleria Dallas to showcase our Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Candidates,” said Shantel Krebs, board chair of the Miss America Organization. “The Galleria ice-skating rink will provide an opportunity for the candidates to bond. The Miss America Organization awards $5 million in scholarships a year and we are truly grateful that Galleria Dallas is a part of and supporting this women’s empowerment organization.”

In addition to the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen candidates’ appearance at Galleria Dallas, the center will also play host to Miss America candidates on Aug. 10 as they gather at the new Flea Style location for a private shopping experience at the boutique’s hat bar.
