Man Arrested in Connection With Assault on North Central Expressway

Dallas police arrested a man Tuesday after an Instagram video went viral showing an altercation with two women on North Central Expressway Saturday.

Jaleel Sheehy, 25, faces two misdemeanor assault charges.

Police say they were flagged down by two women in the 3700 block of Cedarplaza Lane at about 12:15 a.m. Saturday who said they were driving in the 2400 block of North Central Expressway when their car was sideswiped. The women told police both cars turned on their hazard lights and pulled over.

When one of the women got out of her car to exchange information with the driver of the other car, he “began getting hostile” and punched her, police say.

The second woman got out of the car to help the first and the man punched her too, according to police.

The man then got back in his car and fled the scene, authorities say.

The woman in the Instagram video, Shaudae McMillan, told KDFW-TV (Channel 4) that her passenger’s nose was broken.

“I should not have to fight my way out of a routine accident,” McMillan told the station. “But as soon as we stepped out of the car, the driver of the car was the guy in the video, he was very irate. I mean, he came out of the car calling us all types of names and saying that we damaged his car.”

Police said Sheehy was identified as the man in the video after they received an anonymous tip and he was taken to the Dallas County Jail.
