Highland Park showed flashed its form on both ends of the field while claiming victory in all three of its matches at the Leander ISD tournament over the weekend.
The Lady Scots (5-1) topped Spring Branch Smithson Valley Round Rock Cedar Ridge and League City Clear Creek by a combined margin of 10-1. Presley Echols had four goals to lead HP. Anna Walker scored twice, followed by Parker Hart, Ryan Bozman, Hattie Patterson, and Sydney Cox with one goal apiece.
On the boys side, HP remained unbeaten on the season with three straight wins at the Governor’s Cup tournament in Georgetown. The Scots (5-0-1) defeated Manvel, Cedar Park, and San Angelo Central — scoring six combined goals while allowing only one. Jack Hamilton and Jorge Rodriguez tallied two goals each for HP.
Up next, the HP boys will travel to Irving on Tuesday, while the girls head to Allen on Jan. 17. Both teams will return home next week, with the boys hosting The Colony on Jan. 20, and the girls facing North Mesquite the next day.
