Crime Reports: April 15 – 21

SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: SWEET SMELLING SCOUNDRELS

Reported at 1 p.m. April 18: Two women shoplifted $7,303 worth of fragrances on April 17 from Ulta Beauty at Preston Forest Village.

DALLAS

15 Monday

Reported at 10:22 a.m.: A crook used deception and threats of kidnapping to steal money while at Inwood Village.

Reported stolen at 1:05 p.m.: A vehicle and 16-foot flatbed trailer from the 6800 block of Brookshire Drive.

The approach was the same in three burglary attempts on April 15 at apartments in the 8600 block of Preston Road, but the results were not. Twice property was stolen after doors were forced open, but during a similar attempt at at 3:26 p.m., the 70-year-old resident scared off the intruder. The other incidents were reported at 12:14 p.m. April 15 and 10:21 p.m. April 16.

Reported at 4:30 p.m.: Property was damaged at Tuesday Morning on Preston Road. 

16 Tuesday

Reported at 1:18 a.m.: Property was stolen from CVS at Preston Forest Village. 

Reported at 4:56 a.m.: Property was damaged at Kindred Spirits and Wine on Inwood Road.

Reported at 11:40 a.m.: a vehicle burglary in the 6600 block of Glendora Avenue. 

Reported at 12:58 p.m.: A vandal drilled a hole in a Mesquite woman’s gas tank on April 15 at the Preston Forest Square.

Reported at 4:18 p.m.: A vehicle parked at the St. Rita Catholic Community School on Inwood Road was damaged, with no information left behind, on April 15.

Reported at 6:01 p.m.: A window was broken on a vehicle parked at the George Bannerman Montessori Academy on Royal Lane.

Reported at 9:06 p.m.: A window of a home in the 5800 block of Forest Lane was broken, and property was stolen from inside.

Arrested at 12:26 p.m.:  a 30-year-old man accused of interfering with a peace officer’s duties after a minor wreck in the 5800 block of Northwest Highway

17 Wednesday

Reported at 9:40 a.m.: shoplifting on April 16 at Versace at NorthPark Center.

Reported at 12:40 p.m.: A vehicle was stolen from the 11100 block of Lawn Haven Drive.

A vehicle belonging to Self First Class Pools was reported stolen at 12:59 p.m. in the 11200 block of Strait Lane.

Reported at 1:29 p.m.: Property was stolen from a vehicle parked at Braum’s Ice Cream and Burger Restaurant on Inwood Road,

Reported at 9:42 p.m.: Property was stolen from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

18 Thursday

Reported at 7:35 a.m.: A vehicle parked at the 4900 block of Forest Bend Road was broken into and property stolen.

Reported at 8:57 a.m.: A vehicle parked at St. Luke’s Episcopal School on Royal Lane was broken into and property stolen.

Reported at 1:33 p.m.: Property was stolen from Sephora in Preston Royal.

A cell phone was stolen from a man at Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center at 7:44 p.m.

Property was stolen from the Ulta Beauty in Inwood Village at 8:06 p.m.

19 Friday

A criminal trespassing warning was issued at 11:50 a.m. at NorthPark Center. 

Reported at 12:06 a.m.: Property was stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 6800 block of Northwood Road on April 18.

Reported at 12:53 p.m.: Property was stolen from Central Market at Northwest Highway and Midway Road on April 18.

Reported at 12:56 p.m.: Property was stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 6800 block of Prestonshire Lane on April 18.

Reported at 2:26 p.m.: A wallet was stolen out of a purse on April 18 at Tom Thumb in the 7100 block of Inwood Road.

Reported at 3:21 p.m.: Property was stolen from a man at NorthPark Center on April 18.

A vehicle was stolen at 3:59 p.m. from a home in the 6300 block of Lakehurst Avenue and then recovered.

A dog bite was reported at 4:52 p.m. at the 6700 block of Aberdeen Avenue. 

Reported at 5:18 p.m.: Four people entered Ulta Beauty in Preston Forest Village and stole property.

Reported at 6:04 p.m.: A fraudulent application for a credit card was made using the personal information of a resident of the 5500 block of Montrose Drive. 

Arrested at 7:13 p.m. and given a criminal trespass warning: a 19-year-old man accused of stealing from Apple at NorthPark Center. 

Arrested at 8:33 p.m.: A 28-year-old man accused of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center. 

20 Saturday

Sometime during store hours: A theft occurred at Versace at NorthPark Center. The theft was reported on April 22.

Reported at 8:18 a.m.: Property was stolen from a Texoma Roofing and Construction site at the 6100 block of Royal Lane on April 19.

At 10:28 a.m., a vehicle that had been reported stolen was located at the 3800 block of Shorecrest Drive. 

Reported at 10:56 a.m.: A threat made via phone to the 5400 block of Forest Lane. 

Reported at 11:02 a.m.: Property was stolen from a construction site in the 6300 block of Del Norte Lane on April 19.

Reported at 1:05 p.m.: A vandal damaged a vehicle at Tom Thumb on Inwood Road with a kick.

21 Sunday 

Property was stolen from Ulta Beauty at Preston Forest Village sometime during store hours.

A threat was made to kill a person and her dog at 9:11 a.m. at the 8600 block of Turtle Creek Boulevard. 

A vehicle was broken into and property stolen at 2:52 p.m. at apartments in the 5500 block of Lovers Lane. 

A vehicle was stolen at 6:05 p.m. from a  home in the 4400 block of Woodfin Drive. 

A vehicle was broken into and property was stolen at 7:03 p.m. at the 5700 block of Southwestern Boulevard. 

Reported at 7:42 p.m.: A vehicle was stolen from the 4400 block of Walnut Hill Lane.
