Scots Compete Well at Home Meet
The Highland Park boys finished second, while the girls placed third in the team standings at the Highland Park Invitational meet on Thursday.
Adam Elahmadi returned from a wrist injury to win on floor exercise. Nicolas Gregory was fourth in the all-around competition, second on parallel bars, and third on vault. Jack Smith came in fourth on floor. As a team, the Scots were the runner-up behind Hurst L.D. Bell.
On the girls side, HP recorded its highest team score of the optional season. Linda Tran won on uneven bars and was fourth in all-around. Katherine Downing placed second on floor.
Both HP squads will travel to the Rudder Invitational in Bryan on March 1 to wrap up the regular season. After that, the Scots will compete in the district meet on March 27-28 in Irving.
