Parish Athletes Headed to College

Several football players highlighted a busy National Signing Day for athletes at Parish Episcopal on Feb. 6.

Among the signees are four receivers, including Parker Stone, who signed with SMU. Stone is an older brother of Parish quarterback Preston Stone. Twin brothers Cameron and Kahlil Overton signed with Western Illinois. Another receiver on Parish’s TAPPS state semifinalist team, Tyler Hamilton, will play baseball at Texas Tech.

Also signing or announcing football commitments were Jalen North (Sam Houston State), Myles Jones (Texas A&M-Commerce), Logan Rayburn (Colorado School of Mines), Ricky Figurell (Hendrix), Gordie Geymuller (Oklahoma State), and Sam Burns (SMU).

In addition, soccer midfielder Michelle Gonzalez, who plays for the club team Dallas Kicks, recently signed with the University of North Texas.
