Williams Suspended by NFL After May Arrest

Former W.T. White standout and current Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrance Williams has been suspended for three games by the NFL for a violation of the league’s substance abuse policy.
ESPN has some details on the ban, which stems from a legal issue in May. That’s when Williams was cited for public intoxication in Frisco when he rammed into a light pole in his Lamborghini. The charge was later dismissed.
The suspension won’t cause Williams to miss any extra time, however, because he’s already on the team’s injured reserve list. He hasn’t played since Sept. 23 because of a foot injury and won’t return to the lineup until at least December, after the penalty is over.
Williams, who has been with the Cowboys since 2013, is in the second year of a four-year contract he signed in 2017. He has just two catches for 18 yards this season, but in his career, he has 232 catches in 83 games with 20 touchdowns.
