Partner Content: TDG Blooming with Flora Award Excitement
Experience new and favorite features at Texas Discovery Gardens and Butterfly House (TDG) including the new Lone Star Nature Art display featuring the competition’s winners, gardening gurus, Monarch tag and release demonstrations, and NOLA snowballs. There’s a discreet nursing station for new moms.
TDG is open year-round though if you can’t make it to Fair Park this weekend. The gardens have a new Playscape which offers outside playtime and learning about the natural world. Kids can explore the playscape, which includes a bark rubbing station, sand pit, rope ladder, swing bridge, and rock-climbing wall.
The Jade anniversary of the Flora Award Gala is held on Oct. 25. The black-tie occasion will applaud the Allmans plus give a special recognition to past honorees including Peggy and Carl Sewell, former Sen. Kay Baily Hutchison, Dee and Charles Wyly, Lady Bird Johnson, Laura and President George W. Bush, Gloria Vanderbilt and Margaret and Trammell Crow. Those interested in attending or in making a donation in support of TDG can visit txdg.org/flora/.
