Scots Earn All-District Recognition
After a season in which Highland Park battled through adversity to qualify for postseason play, the Scots were recognized with several honors on the District 15-5A all-district team.
Clayton Rejebian earned newcomer of the year honors for becoming one of HP’s top pitchers this season, while James Henry was named the defensive player of the year.
Grant Kipp and Patrick Shearer each were recognized on the first team, while Benner Page and Alex Durham made the second team, as voted upon by league coaches based on regular-season performance.
Jack Kemendo, Wills MacKay, Parker Seale, and Jack Yates received honorable mention. The Scots finished third in the district standings during the regular season and fell to Hallsville in the bi-district round of the Region II playoffs.
