Police Reports Dec. 19-22: Santa Claus is Coming to Town
At 5:30 p.m. Dec. 19, Mr. Santa Claus, 1,736, of the North Pole, was seen patrolling Highland Park in the northwest part of town in a Highland Park Department of Public Safety patrol vehicle.
The police report that Highland Park residents can expect to see Mr. Claus, whose reindeer are currently on sabbatical, doing a ride-along around town for the next three nights.
These incidences will occur at 5:30 p.m. for one to two hours, depending on police call volume.
Each night, Mr. Claus, who also goes under the aliases “Father Christmas” and “Saint Nick”, will hit a different sector of town. The individual is suspected of patrolling the town to make sure every house is on his Christmas list.
This may be part of a larger plan to gain entry to houses in the area on Dec. 25 through their chimneys.
As of press time, it has not been reported which houses were on his “naughty” list and which were on the “nice” list.
If you would like a chance to apprehend this individual for a photo and a wave this evening, you can follow his path through town here.
