Skulduggery of the week: HE LIKES HIS MARTINIS ON THE ROCKS

Between 8 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on May 4, a thief stole a silver martini pitcher and ice bucket from a house in the 5600 block of Fairfield Avenue.

HIGHLAND PARK

2 MONDAY
At 3:40 p.m., a shoplifter stole a $1,395 and a $2,095 backpack from Giuseppe Zanotti in Highland Park Village.

3 TUESDAY
 At 12:40 p.m., two shoplifters stole a $385 belt from Jimmy Choo in Highland Park Village.

6 FRIDAY
At 1:43 p.m., the owner of a bicycle reported a thief had stolen parts, valued at $500, in the 4700 block of Abbott Avenue.

UNIVERSITY PARK

2 MONDAY
Between 3:55 and 4:05 p.m., a thief stole $3,800 from a victim at SMU in the 6400 block of Hillcrest Avenue.

3 TUESDAY
Between 3 p.m. on April 29 and 10:41 a.m. on April 3, a burglar broke into a garage in the 4200 block of Emerson Avenue and stole a $1,195 bicycle.

4 WEDNESDAY
Between 9:15 and 10:56 a.m., a burglar broke into a black 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 7800 block of Pickwick Lane and stole a $55 purse, a $100 wallet, and $300 in cash.

5 THURSDAY
At 9:55 a.m., a thief stole four $700 chairs from the patio of a house in the 4400 block of Mockingbird Parkway.

6 FRIDAY
At 3:40 p.m., John Edward Cahill, 54, of Dallas was arrested in the 2800 block of University Boulevard on a charge of criminal trespassing.
