Hillcrest Senior Receives $10K Scholarships

Congratulations to Hillcrest High School senior Melissa Saucedo for being one of three recipients of the 2016 Sulentic Family Foundation’s $10,000 scholarship.

A selection committee headed by Dallas ISD’s Counseling Services picked Saucedo based on her academic achievements, letters of recommendation, and financial need.

Saucedo received her award at the Superintendent’s Scholarship Reception held yesterday at Conrad High. Fellow Panthers Benjamin Broughton and Chastity Fields joined Thomas Jefferson HS seniors Melissa Ann Lopez and Ulisses Valdez in receiving $2,500 Superintendent Scholarships at the reception.

Superintendent scholars are selected by campus committees based on need, character, grades, recommendations, and “the promise of future success.”

Congrats seniors!
