Youngsters Lead Unbeaten WTW to Playoffs
W.T. White hasn’t been to the girls soccer playoffs since 2011. This year, the Lady Longhorns are back with a flourish.
WTW will take an unbeaten record and a District 9-6A title into its matchup against Richardson Pearce tonight in Richardson. The Lady Longhorns (16-0-3) are led in scoring by a pair of freshmen, Alliyah Marquez and Mary Anne Crowe, the latter of which is a member of the prominent Dallas-based Sting Soccer Club.
On the boys side, UIL bi-district matchups of local interest this weekend include Hillcrest vs. Royse City (7:30 p.m. Thursday at Berry Middle School in Mesquite) and Jesuit at Richardson (noon Saturday).
