Panther May Be Next Picasso
Congrats to University Park Elementary School second-grader Walker Sutton for winning spot in the annual Texas Youth Art Month competition.
His painting “Fresh Start” will hang in a special exhibit at the State Capitol Feb. 29 – March 5, before moving to the Bob Bullock State History Museum to be displayed March 7 – April 4.
The Texas Art Education Association’s Youth Art Month is meant to encourage and support art programs. Walker’s is one of 100 pieces selected from hundreds of submissions.
University Park has had a representative in the contest five years running.
