Westwood Hooping for Diabetes Awareness
The basketball teams at The Westwood School are playing for a good cause on Friday, when the school is asking all fans to wear blue in support of American Diabetes Month.
Spreading awareness is a cause important to the school, where 3 percent of students have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. American Diabetes Month runs throughout November.
The Westwood games will begin at 4 p.m. at Dallas Christian College. The middle-school team will play Novus Academy of Grapevine, followed by a varsity game against St. Mary’s School from Longview. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for students.
