Monie Named Chair at Austin Seminary
Blair Monie, a professor at Austin Seminary, has been named the school’s chair of pastoral ministry and leadership.
If the name is familiar, that’s because Monie was a pastor for almost 20 years at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church before joining the Austin faculty in 2014.
Monie holds an English degree from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania, and earned his master’s and doctorate degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary, where his 1979 doctoral thesis focused on the supervision of seminarians in field education. For two decades before leading PHPC, he served churches in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
