Congratulations and thank you to all who make Highland Park a safer place.
Chief Pyle……Lt. Lance Koppa of HP DPS deserves a special recognition for his impressive skills for handling an emergency earlier this morning. As high speed HP DPS vehicles and fire engines were passing on Beverly Dr., simultaneously he recognized as brought to his attention, that a large dog was not leashed by his owner.
The point of this matter, emergencies can happen at any moment, and the last thing our DPS needs is an unleashed dog running into the street causing a potential accident with the ER vehicles. Lt. Koppa’s quick and artful handling of simultaneous emergency matters such as this, are why I believe Lt. Koppa is the best of the best. Having an emergency is one thing, and preventing another is an artful foresight.
Lt. Koppa is a real treasure to our community, without a doubt. In these CRAZY times that our first responders are targets of violence, residents of the Park Cities should be particularly grateful to the men and women who protect and serve our community. We have a safe community thanks in large part to them. This day of all days is a good time to thank them for their good work. So, thank you and PLEASE ignore the expired inspection sticker on my car . . I’m going to get it inspected. Soon
