Skulduggery of the week: Red, Red Wine

At 5:46 p.m. on June 10, a male shoplifter stole two bottles of Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon, valued at $380, from Tom Thumb in The Plaza at Preston Center.

HIGHLAND PARK

8 MONDAY
Between 8 p.m. on June 7 and 6:25 a.m. on June 8, a burglar broke into a white 2011 Jeep Wrangler inside a garage in the 3600 block of Crescent Avenue and stole the contents of the glove box and center console, including a garage-door opener, a lug-nut key, and a phone charger.

Between 4 p.m. on June 5 and 9:02 a.m. on June 8, a thief stole a $1,100 Hilti concrete saw from an unsecured construction trailer in the 3700 block of Normandy Avenue.

At 6:36 p.m., two 16-year-old Highland Park residents were arrested in the 4400 block of Bordeaux Avenue on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

13 SATURDAY
Between 5:30 p.m. on June 12 and 6 a.m. on June 13, a thief stole a Wacker Neuson drum roller after cutting a lock at a construction site in the 5000 block of Airline Road.

UNIVERSITY PARK

8 MONDAY
At 9 a.m., Marx Dale Billingsley, 65, of Dallas was arrested at The Plaza at Preston Center on a felony drug possession charge.

10 WEDNESDAY
At 3:05 p.m., a thief stole a $500 iPhone from a table at a restaurant in Park Cities Plaza.

12 FRIDAY
Between 10 a.m. on June 9 and 11 a.m. on June 12, a thief stole the license plates off a black 2014 Honda moped in the 3700 block of Granada Avenue.

13 SATURDAY
At 4:02 a.m., police chased a man on foot in the 2600 block of Westminster Avenue after he was believed to be entering unlocked cars. Jody Roy Young, 20, of Dallas was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and evading detention.

Between 7:30 p.m. on June 12 and 9 a.m. on June 13, a thief entered an unlocked gold 2009 Chevrolet sedan in the 3400 block of Colgate Avenue and stole an $8,500 Rolex watch from the console.
