Art to Beat Cancer’s Inaugural Dallas Event
SMU alum Doyle Glass and the Art to Beat Cancer event are offering you the chance to purchase valuable pieces of art and fight cancer at the same time.
Dallas’ inaugural Art to Beat Cancer event is coming to the Miller Special Event Center in SMU’s Moody Colliseum on May 8 from 6-8 p.m. Guests can bid on pieces through the live or silent auction or purchase a $50 raffle ticket to win one of 18 paintings. Over 70 pieces of work are featured in the auctions. All proceeds will benefit the Children’s Research Institute Foundation at UT Southwestern.
The event is a tribute to Glass’ late wife Kim Hazelwood Glass. “I am truly excited and grateful to bring Art to Beat Cancer to Dallas and to partner with the esteemed Children’s Medical Research Institute,” said Glass. “This cause is near to my heart, and I am honored to host this event in memory of my wife and all of those who have lost loved ones to this disease.”
Tickets are $35 per person or $50 per couple. The Kim Hazelwood Glass Endowment will match all auction sales.
