Police Report: June 30 to July 6


SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: Pampering Parent

At 7:43 p.m. on July 5, a shoplifter stole three boxes of Pampers diapers, valued at $94, from the CVS store at Park Cities Plaza. The thief fled in a gold Dodge Neon.


HIGHLAND PARK

30 MONDAY
Between midnight and 8:30 a.m., a burglar stole $2,400 in cash from a basement office at Patrizio’s in Highland Park Village. The money was in a petty-cash box inside a drawer in the office, which was damaged along with the door to the office, leading to suspicion that a recently fired employee might be to blame. The thief appears to have escaped through a window leading to the alley behind the restaurant.
 
1 TUESDAY
At 3:01 p.m., Elizabeth Haase, 59, of Dallas was arrested in the4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
 
2 WEDNESDAY
At 8:15 p.m., Thomas R. McGrath, 49, of Fort Worth was arrested in the 4100 block of Mockingbird Lane on a public intoxication charge.


UNIVERSITY PARK

30 MONDAY
At 12:07 a.m., Michael Johnson, 33, and Reginald Bell, 33, of Dallas were each arrested in the 4400 block of Lovers Lane on a public intoxication charge.
 
2 WEDNESDAY
Between May 12 and July 2, a thief stole a copper drainpipe, valued at $1,400, from a house in the 3900 block of Marquette Street.
 
3 THURSDAY
At 11:34 p.m., John Moss, 37, of Richardson was arrested in the6600 block of Golf Drive on a public intoxication charge.
 
5 SATURDAY
Between midnight and 10:56 a.m., a vandal used a tool to cause $600 in damage to the rear window of a blue 2012 Nissan Xterra in the 3600 block of Asbury Avenue.
 
6 SUNDAY
At 4:47 a.m., a shoplifter stole eight cartons of cigarettes, valued at $384, from the CVS store at Park Cities Plaza.

Due to a records system change in the records at the Dallas Police Department, Dallas reports are unavailable this week. We are working with DPD to obtain relevant incident reports and hope to resume providing them soon.
