Harlan Crow Seeks ‘Historical Collection’
This morning at Highland Park’s Administrative Committee meeting, an item came up that you don’t see every day: Harlan Crow wants the town to authorize a “historical collection” at his home on Preston Road. Because his home is technically a “single-family unit,” the zoning will have to change for the historical collection to be authorized, which is why it’s going before town officials in the first place. Part of this change allows for staff to provide security for the collection.
Of course, the Administrative Committee acts as an introduction to the item — it still has to go through the Zoning Commission as well, and a public hearing.
“This is cool stuff,” town administrator Bill Lindley added after the committee’s review.
