Gates – Crosby
Ms. Cheryl Ann Gates and Mr. Lance Trevor Crosby are pleased to announce their engagement. Ms. Gates is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Gates of Irving, Texas. Mr. Crosby is the son of Ms. Pattie Crosby of Stephenville, Texas.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas, where she received a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, and information technology. Cheryl is the owner of Agency Celebrity Artists, which represents hair and makeup artists for film, video, and print. The bride was also a member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders from 1996 to 2000.
The groom is a graduate of Tarleton State University, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administation in finance, a BBA in accounting, and a BBA in management. He received his MS in finance and an MBA from Texas A&M. Lance also received his JD from Texas Wesleyan School of Law and his LLM from SMU School of Law. He is founder, CEO, and chairman of SoftLayer Technologies, an IBM company.
The groom serves on multiple boards of directors for public and private companies. He is a licensed attorney and Cloud Commissioner for Tech America for the Obama administration; was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Tech Titans CEO of the Year, Outstanding Entrepreneur for Texas by the State of Texas under Gov. Rick Perry, and Distinguished Alumni of Tarleton State; has been recognized by Red Herring, Wired Magazine, JMI, and Fortune 100 as Top CEO; and is a proud member of WCD.
The couple plans an early November wedding at TLC Estate in Dallas, where they also plan to reside after the wedding.
