Katherine Elizabeth Williams and Robert Leland Shaw III were united in marriage on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Ala. The Rev. Karl Stegall performed the ceremony. Dining and dancing followed at the Union Station Train Shed.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Terry D. Williams of Montgomery, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary John Williams and the late Mr. Cecil D. Williams and Mrs. Cecil D. Williams and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Uhlich.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Robert L. Shaw Jr. of University Park and the late Mr. Robert Leland Shaw Jr. He is the grandson of Mrs. Robert Louis Bruns and the late Mr. Robert Louis Bruns, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leland Shaw.

Given in marriage by her father, Katherine chose an elegant custom-designed gown of ivory Alencon lace. The trumpet-like silhouette fashioned a sweetheart neckline and featured a hand-sewn Swarovski crystal belt. The bride topped off her look with a matching Alencon lace bolero. The bride also wore her sister-in-law’s cathedral-length veil of re-embroidered lace and tulle.

Elizabeth Bloom Williams, sister-in-law of the bride, and Emily Harwood Eland served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids included Nancy Van Zile Stewart, Amber Johnson Ball, Jennifer Lynn Berg, Mary Elizabeth Cooper, Tarryn Ashley Uran, Allyssa Carter Welsh, Elizabeth Patton Howard, and Mary Elizabeth Rich.

The best man was the groom’s brother John Bruns Shaw. Groomsmen included his brothers James William Cantwell Shaw and Peter Ferguson Shaw, the bride’s brothers Taylor Alexander Williams and Collier Steadman Williams, Frank Wilson Burford, Alexander Michael Coron, John Hughston Nichols, Peter O’Brien Stovall, and Brian Spencer Ladewig. Ushers were Bill Uran, Brantley McCamey, James Michael Conway, Curtis Arthur Edenfield, Murray Caldwell Vaughan Jr., and Christopher Peyton Yarbrough.

Susan Huntley Chapman was the scripture reader. Caroline Elizabeth Bruns was the flower girl.

Following a honeymoon in Los Cabos, Mexico, the couple makes their home in Dallas.
