It’s not often that I get a private concert during an interview, but when I asked music-man Ed Bernet to pose with his banjo for a photo in early July, the humble and consummate musician started plucking away.

He played for a good 5 minutes while I tried to concentrate on taking his photo and not dancing/clapping along. It was a pretty catchy little ditty.

Bernet and his band, the Levee Singers, will be playing at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre next Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 7:30 p.m. If his solo performance was any indication of things to come, you won’t want to miss this performance. Seating and food/beverage service will start at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $22.

Shannon Dickinson, one of the owners of the Pocket Sandwich Theatre, said that most of the shows sell out. To reserve your tickets, call 214-821-1860.
