Famous Surgeon’s Book Signing This Saturday

While some of you might not recognize Dr. Kenneth Salyer’s name, the accomplishments from his 50 year career as a surgeon are famous.

First of all, he was one of the doctors who cared for President John F. Kennedy after he was gunned down in our fair city. More recently, Dr. Salyer, along with 50 physicians and nurses, worked for 34 hours to separate Egyptian Siamese twins who were conjoined at the head.

Dr. Salyer has written a tell-all book about his most interesting patients, titled A Life That Matters. The Turtle Creek resident will be signing them this Saturday at 3 p.m. at Barnes & Noble (7700 West Northwest Highway, across from NorthPark).

Half of the proceeds from A Life That Matters will benefit the World Craniofacial Foundation, which Dr. Salyer founded 25 years ago. Stop by to find out more about his fascinating career — and get your very own autographed copy of the book.
