Reenan Advances to Finals
Highland Park freshman Nick Reenan advanced to the Class 4A championship match of the 152-pound division with a dominant performance over Carrollton Creekview’s Isaac Salinas in today’s state semifinals at the Delco Center. Reenan is looking to become the first Scot to win an individual state title since 2007.
Reenan (49-0) will wrestle in the finals on Saturday evening in Austin.
The only other Scots still alive in the consolation brackets are Stephen Dieb (126 pounds) and Henry Cevehra (285 pounds). They will wrestle again later today.
Both Cevehra and Dieb advanced to wrestle for third place in their weight classes on Saturday.
I believe that Reenan won the state championship on Saturday.
