Garage Sale Will Fund Students’ Trip to Austin
Girls Empowered to Model Success (G.E.M.S), a mentoring program for third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade girls at Bluffview’s Sudie L. Williams Elementary School, is hosting a garage sale Saturday. The money raised will help pay for the group’s annual trip to Austin, where the girls will participate in Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day on the UT-Austin campus, learn about the importance of going to college, and tour the university.
