Don’t Wear Masks to Fourth of July Parade, Kids
Last night, the University Park City Council approved an amendment to the code of ordinances that “prohibits the wearing of masks near areas of parades and public assemblies.” The move was made in anticipation of the George W. Bush Presidential Center, which is expected to attract plenty of demonstrators. If they’re masked, then they’re harder for cops to identify.
Why is it so important that the cops be able to identify them? When did protesting become illegal? I guess now that the Fourth Ammendment is a quaint part of American history, it’s time to redouble our efforts on doing away with the First Ammendment too.
