Roofing Materials, Shingles Taken From PH Roofers
If you’re still waiting for your roof to be repaired, there’s probably two reasons why:
1) Even though you called early the next day, you were the 100th1,000th person to schedule a roofer to fix the damage from this year’s hailstorm.
-or-
2) The day you’re set to get it fixed, some joker loaded up the shingles out in front of your house the night before.
After 9 p.m. Sept. 24, a thief stole more than $3,400 worth of shingles and roofing materials from the 6900 block of Azalea Lane.
Between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 24 and 7 a.m. Sept. 25, a thief stole more than $3,330 worth of roofing materials and supplies outside of a church in the 6700 block of Royal Lane.
Shingles, and materials of the sort, have been a target this past week. An alert from the Hillcrest East Crimewatch stated stolen materials had been left in driveways over the weekend by companies doing work Monday morning.
Be cautious if you see people loading instead of unloading roofing materials.
