Texas Press Association Honors Park Cities People

Sports editor Chuck Cox just called me from San Antonio, where he picked up our two first-place plaques in the Texas Better Newspaper Contest. One was for best sports coverage, so it’s a good thing we sent Chuck as our representative. The other was for best special section, specifically the section celebrating Park Cities People‘s 30th anniversary. We also earned some second- and third-place certificates, but I’ve already forgotten what for. Chuck, fill ’em in in the comments.

Sure thing. We also got second place in sports photo and page design, third place in sweepstakes and general excellence, and fourth place in routine special section. Definitely worth the trip south.
