Bobbe was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Murray “EM” Herndon and Roberta Nophlet Fuqua, and her brother Elmer Murray “Jack” Herndon Jr. Bobbe graduated from Highland Park High School in 1933. She attended Southern Methodist University for one year where she pledged Delta Gamma sorority.

Bobbe married George J. Nabholtz on February 8, 1938. George’s parents, George Nabholtz and Lucy Braun, as well as Bobbe’s parents were married on February 8th (1898 and 1915). Bobbe and George honeymooned in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Following George’s death in 1974, Bobbe traveled the world. Some of the places she traveled to included North and South Africa, China, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Argentina, Egypt and many, many more.

Bobbe will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law and friend. Survived by her son, George “Duffy” J. Nabholtz, Jr. and Diane Nabholtz, both of Dallas; granddaughter Elizabeth, husband Chris, and great granddaughters, Lucy and Ruby Enge, all of Chattanooga, Tenn.; granddaughter Elizabeth Nabholtz Allen and husband, Justin, granddaughter Megan Nabholtz and fiancé, Brandon Trimble, and longtime friends Glenda and Bob Patton and family, all of Dallas; and cousins Mary Ann and Sara Rumbo, both of Richardson, Texas.

The family wishes to thank Walnut Place for ten years of excellent care for Bobbe. Services to celebrate Bobbe’s life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00pm at Sparkman/Hillcrest, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225.
